Rwanda Youth Voice for Change (RYVC) as youth organization and with specific objectives it has to plan which areas could help to achieve its objectives. Our projects fall in those following main 5 programs but we may also initiate every possible project which falls in the 10 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Socio-economic empowerment
This intends to support especially youth initiatives towards creation of income generating activities. We support youth economic cooperatives and we help networking among of them. The program aims also to organize trainings on entrepreneurship and project management for youth groups. We help them also to attend vocational trainings which may help them to develop themselves.
Organizational capacity building
So as to support the implementation of its activities and to ensure effective running of the organizational coordination, RYVC train its volunteers on leadership skills, lobbying and advocacy skills, resources mobilization, board development and project design and management.
Human right and Peace
Rwanda has been destroyed by the 1994 genocide of Tusti in all aspects including social aspect. As young generation we want this could not happen again in our country. This program aims to support human right and peace clubs in secondary schools with knowledge sharing and we organize workshops and training for them. It intends also to organize debates in our universities and even among our volunteers so that we can promote human right and peace.
Health and Education
This program aims to organize community outreaches following so that we can teach the community to prevent diseases. Here we focus mainly on HIV/AIDS including Sexual Transmitted Diseases, Reproductive health and family planning, Malaria, Tuberculosis and nutrition and hygiene. This program has a part of capacity building for our volunteer because before implementing a project they have to undergone a series of trainings to acquire specific knowledge they have to disseminate in the community.
Environmental conservation
Nowadays there is man change in climate which is thought to be influenced by our actions. The program aims to conserve our environment by planting trees and improving school garden so that we may prevent the erosion. We support also environment clubs which are working in high schools and primary schools through trainings and workshops.
